I played planetfall for a few months but wasn't able to get into it as much. Even better is if I can declare war, kill their leader, occupy and release their capital, all in one turn.Īnyway, I think it's cool that people are still playing aow3. I also try and avoid actually declaring war until I've found both their leader and capital city and I consider "perfect" play to be a game in which I never have to attack any city other than their capital. I also only declare one war of liberation at a time, and I give the opposing leader plenty of "warning" - meaning that I start moving troops into place, trespassing at will and blockading their cities in an attempt to get them to declare war first. I never start wars of liberation until after I've reached Pure Good alignment - and I never do anything that would ruin my Pure Good Status. After liberating only two cities in this way I gain enough good alignment to offset the evil alignment accrued from declaring war.Ī few other things I do. In my head, I'm pretending that the opposing leaders are oppressing their populations so I allow myself to declare war on them but when capturing cities I always release them as vassals. The only difference is that I do allow myself to declare "wars of liberation". This probably isn't what you're looking for but I play almost exactly the same sorts of games you're describing - and I also avoid seals and unity games because they're too short.
